Check out what I've been up to lately...
With my new machine I can do all sorts of fun new things like monogram an oven mitt! I found this set at Marshall's (L-O-V-E that store!). These would make great hostess, teacher, birthday and Christmas gifts!

Here are a few things for my sweet friend Melissa's future baby daughter...can't wait to meet you Camryn!

These are burp cloths that Melissa brought to me...the top applique is the Posh Circle Applique alpha and the bottom applique is the Bloom Applique alpha.

On this bib I used a "carved fill" on the big K...I think it was fitting to use a bubble fill on the polka dot fabric. So cute!!

I got a new machine!

Ta-Da! I got a 6-needle machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited and I am in L-O-V-E with my new machine. I got it only 1 short week ago so I'm still learning how to use this big honker. I'm now capable to do hats!

Okay, now on to what I've been up to...as you know I now make paci-clips and quilted wipes cases. The paci-clips are $6 and the wipes cases are $14. Through the end of June I will be offering a FREE paci-clip and wipes case with all baby set orders. That's a value of $20 for FREE!!
Please note that a baby set includes: 1 onesie, 1 bib, and 1 burp cloth OR 1 onesie and 2 burp cloths. The set must coordinate and contain the same applique/lettering. See the pictures below.

Georgia on my mind...

I've been busy this week working down my LONG list of things to make my daughter, Georgia. I know that I already posted a picture of this tee last time, but I thought I would re-post it since I captured a sweet picture of her modelling it for me. She loves her tutu and enjoys showing me that the bunny is soft. I used smooth white minky for the bunny.

Twins!

Okay, I finally finished the twins set! This is a new design called the ribbon flower alphabet. I used the small size since I put it on an itty-bitty 0-3 month onesie. I think it turned out really cute!!

New baby doll gift set: $30 as shown. The recipient is eagerly awaiting to find out if she is having a baby sister or brother...in the mean time she has named the baby Spike! The name is on the back side of the diapers, too...each piece is personalized per order.

2010 was a great year!

What an amazing year 2010 was for me! During the holidays I tallied up all of the items I worked on for you guys and here are my numbers: 260 appliqued tees/onesies, 93 burp cloths, 20 bibs, 70 felt barrettes, 26 appliqued tote bags, 86 appliqued towels, and 186 personal items brought to me for lettering...WOW! These numbers don't reflect the items I made for myself, children or for gifts either! I didn’t realize that I had been this busy. You guys have been great customers!

You may be wondering why “The Raindrop Shoppe?” Well, as many of you know my last name is Raines. When we first found out that I was pregnant with our son, Jude, my husband lovingly nicknamed him “Raindrop” before we found out the gender. We continued this tradition when we found out we were pregnant again as Raindrop #2 with our daughter, Georgia. Both of my kids have been a huge inspiration to me in creating cute and fun things for them to wear.

I am just now finishing up pre-Christmas orders because my laptop decided to crash and die on me just 4 short days before Christmas day! With great relief, the Geek Squad at the local Best Buy was able to recover ALL of my appliqués and fonts that I have purchased as well as all of my embroidery files. I'm hoping to begin taking orders again Friday, January 14th.

I recently made Jude a birthday t-shirt since his big day is this coming Monday. He is really into sharks right now so he has one on his tee along with a HUGE number 4.
